1) Lakshmi Vilas Palace

Laxmi Villas Palace

Lakshmi Vilas Palace is Located J N Marg, Moti Baug, Vadodara. It is Constructed by Maratha King Sayajirao Gaekwad – 3.
At that time of Construction is full of amenities such as elevators and the interior is Similar of a Large European Country.

It remains the residence of the Gaekwads Royal Family of Vadodara, a part of the palace is open for Visitors. There is an audio tour for an hour available in 3 languages(English, Hindi and Marathi).

The Shiv Mahal Palace is located in Chakli Circle near Race – Course area. The Palace is built for the Third son of Maharaja Sayajirao gaekwad -3.

It is a huge Structure which is known for its architecture, royalty and Luxury furniture.

Shiv Mahal Palace’s Charm is very different from other palaces.

At present time, Shiv Mahal Palace is used for organizing different social events like a Reception, Baby Shower, Wedding etc.

Makarpura Palace was also constructed by Maharaja Khanderao in 1870 AD. It was designed in Italian style. It was reconstructed by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad-3.

The Palace is now used as a training institute of Indian Air Force.

The Makarpura Palace is Situated at Himmatnagar, Makarpura area.

5) Nazarbaug Palace

Nazarbaug Palace

Nazarbaug Palace is also the Royal Palace of the gaekwad family. It was constructed by Malhar rao Geakwad in the 19th Century. Still it’s housed the Royal family heritage. It had Gold and Silver Guns. The ground also had a palace of Glass (Shish Mahal).

After an alleged robbery, the ground is used for Car Parking. Visitors are allowed to walk there but aren’t allowed to Photograph there.
